IF YOU HAVE CANCER !                      I wrote this for (my father) and he KNOWS that it is TRUE.

MY FRIEND,                    MY COMPANION,                 MY NURSEMAID,

MY DOG!

If you have Cancer and choose to take Chemo and you are worried that if your hair falls out everyone will look at you funny DON'T because your dog will always look at you and watch every move you make with the anticipation of the sound of your voice, or the feel of your touch.

If you are worried that if you are vomiting all the time there will be no one there to hold your hand DON'T because your dog will be right by your side with its paw resting on your arm or leg wishing there was more he or she could do for you.

If you are worried that if your finger nails and or toe nails come off that you need to cover them because no one will want to see, DON'T because your dog will be kissing your hand or foot trying to make it all better.

If you are worried that if your legs are swelling up and you don't want to sit alone ( and raise your legs ) while everyone else is in the other room DON'T because you won't be your dog will be sitting in your lap for as long as you want him to sit there.

If you are worried that if you don't feel like getting out of bed that there will be no one there to keep you company DON'T because your dog will lay next to you and love you for as long as you let him.

If you are worried because you are having a bad day and are feeling alone and lonely because everyone has gone to work or school and you just wish you had someone to wrap their arms around you and let you know you are not alone, and you are going to be alright DON'T because when you lie down and your dog jumps up and lies down beside you and you start to run your fingers through his hair, and rub him and he starts to give you kisses then you start to relax and realize that you are not alone you have the best friend in the world that will always be there and never leave you no matter what and you are protected and taken care of.

So you see well or sick ( especially sick ) you are NEVER alone as long as you have a dog. He senses your every mood, your every move and quite possibly your every feeling and thought. he is the TRUE FRIEND, TRUE COMPANION, TRUE NURSEMAID that will never leave you no matter what unless you make him. So always remember and don't ever forget that your TRUE FRIEND, TRUE COMPANION, TRUE NURSEMAID that will always be there for you IS YOUR DOG!
